The Duxbury High School music department offers three bands as both courses and performing groups. The Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band have all been featured in numerous festivals and band competitions. The Wind Ensemble performed at Carnegie Hall in 2018.  In 2011, the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band took a trip to Washington D.C. At Duxbury Middle School, there is a 6th Grade Band, and two 7th and 8th Grade Bands.

In addition to the curricular courses, the band program also offers many different co-curricular groups at DHS and DMS, including jazz bands, a pep band for the football games, brass ensemble for holiday gatherings, and a student pit orchestra for the high school musical.
