Music Promoters
Duxbury Music Promoters (“DMP”) is a volunteer organization whose mission is to encourage, promote, and support students' music education in the Duxbury Public Schools.
Music students benefit from DMP’s efforts through receiving scholarships, trophies, awards, and prizes, and music teacher professional development and education. DMP also works to provide financial assistance to those in need for travel to competitions, school concerts, and music experiences (such as Disney, Carnegie/NYC, and Washington DC in 2025), lessons, and concert dress.
We need your help through volunteering and/or donations, to support or fund any activities or needs during the 2024-2025 academic year!

Donate Financially: Donate via Paypal or pay by check Those who make contributions of $200.00 or more will receive up to 4 reserved seats at every student concert requested. All donations are tax-deductible (a non-profit organization). Checks can be made payable to Duxbury Music Promoters, Inc., PO Box 2477, Duxbury, MA 02331).
Donate Time: Fill out the membership form and consider attending a meeting to learn more about Duxbury Music Promoters, what it does, and how you can help. Concert Dress Fitting Night for DHS Students
Presented by Duxbury Music Promoters
Event: Concert Dress Fitting
Date: Tuesday, September 10th
Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm (drop-in anytime)
Place: Main Street at DMS/DHS (next to the Cafeteria)
The required concert dress sizes run much smaller than standard dress sizes. Please attend a dress fitting to ensure that you are ordering the correct size or to buy donated concert dresses at a discount. Proceeds support Duxbury Music Promoters.
Concert Attire
Throughout the school year, our Duxbury High School music ensembles are fortunate to have the opportunity to perform in numerous concert events both here at school and across the country. An important part of these public performances is how we visually present ourselves in the form of uniform concert attire.
Dresses and Dress Shoes
Sizing/Dress Fitting Night: Dresses run much smaller than standard sizes. If you are unsure of sizing, please attend the dress fitting event.
Dresses can be purchased online at https://formalfashionsinc.com, item/model number 49N53AA with the following specifications:
Waist Trim: Piping
Color: Black
Size up! (dresses run small)
Fabric: Performance Knit.
Shipping may take up to 4 weeks and dresses arrive unhemmed and very long. Hems must touch the top vamp of the shoe, and fall an even distance (1-2 inches) from the floor all around. Depth of hem must not exceed 4". (First DHS concert is October 22, 2024.)
You may purchase the black character shoes from Plymouth Dancewear, Capezio model #550 or order them from Amazon.
Suit
Solid all-black suit, Black buttoned-down dress shirt, Black belt, Black dress socks, All black dress shoes. No tie is necessary. All of these items must be entirely solid black, not dark blue, not gray, and no stripes or patterns of any kind.
