The School Committee adopted Policy IJNDF (Student Cell Phone/Smart Device Policy) at the June 27, 2024 meeting.
At the June 5, 2024 meeting, The School Committee approved the DHS trip request to Washington, DC, from March 12 - March 14, 2025.
Revisions to the following policies were approved at the June 5, 2024, School Committee meeting:

- Policy ADDA: Background Checks
- Policy KA: School/Community Relations Goals
- Policy KBA: School-Parent/Guardian Relations Goals

The School Committee approved a trip request to Greece for Latin students from April 17, 2025-April 25, 2025.
The School Committee approved the Spanish exchange trip request to Spain over the February 2025 school vacation.
The School Committee approved the trip request to Washington DC from March 8 - March 11, 2025, for DHS students in the wind ensemble, string ensemble, and chamber singers to perform at Strathmore Hall.
The School Committee approved the trip request to Washington DC from February 13-February 17, 2025 to compete at the Georgetown University North American Invitational Model United Nations Conference.
The School Committee approved the 2024-2025 School Handbooks.
The School Committee voted to exempt the district from School Choice for the 2024-2025 school year.

The May 1, 2024, meeting approved accepting a $1500 donation from CertaPro for graduation signs.
The School Committee voted against privatization of custodial services at the April 11 meeting.
The School Committee approved the request for DHS students to make an overnight trip to Thailand in July 2025.
The School Committee approved the overnight trip request for the DHS Varsity Lacrosse team to travel to and compete against Burnt Hills High School in New York on March 29-30 on March 22, 2024.
The acceptance of a $500 donation from the Alden PTA for the Science Fair was approved at the March 13, 2024 meeting.
The acceptance of a $500 donation from the Chandler PTA for the Science Fair was approved at the March 13, 2024 meeting.
The acceptance of a $3000 donation from the Thornburg Corporate Giving Program for Alden and Chandler students was approved at the March 13, 2024 meeting.
The acceptance of a $97.29 donation from Townwear for district use was approved at the March 13, 2024 meeting.
The School Committee approved the overnight trip request to Costa Rica for DHS students over the 2025 February vacation.

The School Committee approved the overnight trip request to Barnstable for students to attend the Massachusetts Junior Classical League Convention from April 26 -27.

School Committee approved the 2024-2027 Student Opportunity Act at the March 13, 2024 meeting.
The School Committee approved the overnight trip request to Hyannis on March 6-8 for students to attend the Massachusetts Association of Student Councils (MASC) Annual Spring Conference.
The School Committee approved the renewal of Dr. Klingaman’s contract, effective from 7/1/24 - 6/30/2028.
The School Committee approved the Statement of Interest resubmission for the Alden building project.
Policy EFE (Civil Rights Complaint Policy for Child Nutrition Programs) was adopted at the meeting on February 7, 2024.

Policy IMGA ( Service Animals in School) was adopted at the February 7, 2024 meeting and will replace the existing Policy IMG.
Policies IE (Organization of Instruction), IGD (Curriculum Adoption), IL (Evaluation of Instructional Programs), and IMA (Teaching Activities/Presentations) were repealed due to redundancy at the February 7, 2024 meeting.
The School Committee approved the overnight trip request to Italy, France, and Spain for DHS students over the 2025 April vacation.
The School Committee approved the overnight trip request for the DHS Cheerleading team to compete at the AmeriCheer Nationals Cheerleading competition in Orlando from March 13, 2024 - March 18, 2024.
The amended recommended FY’25 operating budget was approved at the January 10, 2024 meeting.
The School Committee approved the overnight trip request to China for DHS Mandarin students over the 2025 April vacation.
The School Committee approved the overnight trip request for Model United Nations club members and DHS students to compete at the Georgetown University North American Invitational Model United Nations Conference held February 15-19, 2024.
The Mason Allaire Scholarship in the amount of $1000 per year was approved at the meeting on December 6, 2023.

EEAA (Walkers and riders), EEAE (School bus safety program), and EEAEA (Bus driver examination and training), EEAEC/JICC (Student conduct on buses) were adopted at the November 1, 2023 meeting.
Transportation guidelines and unplanned school bus event notification guidelines were approved at the November 1, 2023, meeting.
The DHS Hockey registration surcharge was approved at the October 18, 2023 meeting.
The 2023-2024 School Committee Goals were approved at the October 18, 2023 meeting.
The 2023-2024 Superintendent Goals were approved at the October 18, 2023 meeting.
The acceptance of a $10,000 donation from the Duxbury Recreation Foundation for the Tennis Court project was approved at the September 20, 2023 meeting.
The designation of the Chandler playground structure as surplus was approved at the September 20, 2023 meeting.
A gymnastics co-op proposal between DHS and Whitman Hanson was approved at the September 20, 2023 meeting.
Strategic Plan 23-24 Action Plans were approved at the September 20, 2023 meeting.
