Welcome to the Duxbury Extended Day Programs.  Through Duxbury Community Education, the Extended Day program provides before and after school care for students in Grade K - 5 at the Chandler (before and after school) and Alden (after school) Elementary Schools.

Registration for currently enrolled Extended Day families for the 25-26 school year Extended Day began on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Our Extended Day Program 25-26 School Year Priority Registration week for incoming Kindergarten students and new Grade 1 - 5 families is from April 28, 2025 - May 2, 2025.  All applications received during the priority week of registration will be reviewed during the week of May 5th.   Spots are filled in our program in  the following order: 5 day, 4 day, 3 day, and then 2 day.  Any spots remaining after the priority registration period has concluded will be filled on a first come first serve basis. 

The Breakfast Club, Jr Club, Club, and Extended Club Programs were created to provide before and after school care for children in grades K-5 in safe, supervised, and supportive surroundings. The programs are dedicated to serving the needs of the families of Duxbury by providing children with a variety of enriching and educational experiences while ensuring a sense of security and consistency throughout the course of their extended school day.

We employ educated and responsible staff that are trained to understand the many needs of the students as they transition between the various portions of their day. The programs focus on the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of its students while maintaining affordable rates of tuition for parents in need of before and after school care. The Duxbury K-5 Extended Day Programs adhere to the Massachusetts Department of Education standards for providing quality care and are recognized as a level 2 participant in the Massachusetts Early Education and Care (EEC) Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) initiative.
