Welcome to the Duxbury Extended Day Programs.  Through Duxbury Community Education, the Extended Day program provides before and after school care for students in Grade K - 5 at the Chandler (before and after school) and Alden (after school) Elementary Schools.

Registration for currently enrolled Extended Day families for the 25-26 school year Extended Day will begin on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Registration for new Grade 1 - Grade 5 families and incoming Kindergarten students for the 25-26 school year will open on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Registration Details and Tuition rates for the 25-26 School Year will be published on this site in March.

Our Chandler K - 2 Extended Day and Alden Grade 3 - 5 Extended Day programs are at maximum capacity for the 24-25 school year. Please submit a registration form for the days of the week that you are interested in on our Procare registration system so that we can place your child on the waitlist.

The Breakfast Club, Jr Club, Club, and Extended Club Programs were created to provide before and after school care for children in grades K-5 in safe, supervised, and supportive surroundings. The programs are dedicated to serving the needs of the families of Duxbury by providing children with a variety of enriching and educational experiences while ensuring a sense of security and consistency throughout the course of their extended school day.

We employ educated and responsible staff that are trained to understand the many needs of the students as they transition between the various portions of their day. The programs focus on the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of its students while maintaining affordable rates of tuition for parents in need of before and after school care. The Duxbury K-5 Extended Day Programs adhere to the Massachusetts Department of Education standards for providing quality care and are recognized as a level 2 participant in the Massachusetts Early Education and Care (EEC) Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) initiative.
